Shocking Claim: Outsiders Linked to Maharashtra Minority Body, Says Chief

Maharashtra Minority Commission Chairman Pyare Khan has expressed his concern over the recent violence in Nagpur’s Mahal area. He described the incident as “very unfortunate” and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace in the city known for its communal harmony. Mr. Khan mentioned that the individuals responsible for the violence were not locals but outsiders who came to incite unrest.

Appeal for Peace

During a recent statement, Mr. Khan stated, “This is a very unfortunate incident, and such violence should not have happened in Nagpur, a place known for its saints. Muslims in the area had set up tents to welcome Hindus during Ram Navami. There is a Dargah where people from all religions come to pray.”

Blame Game

Congress leader Pawan Khera blamed the BJP-led government for the violence, alleging a failure to maintain law and order. He questioned how such unrest could occur in a city with a long history of communal harmony and accused certain political parties of deliberately stoking tensions for personal gain.

Mr. Khera highlighted the BJP’s responsibility in ensuring peace and criticized the handling of the situation. He urged people not to fall prey to political games and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace for the well-being of the community.

Government Response

In response to the violent clashes, Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule urged residents to stay calm and avoid spreading rumors. He emphasized the need to restore peace in society and assured that an investigation would uncover the root cause of the unrest.

The Nagpur Police have issued prohibitory orders in the city and detained over 20 individuals in connection to the violence. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and video clips to identify the perpetrators, and an FIR is being filed. The police have requested cooperation from the public and urged everyone to remain calm.
