A tragic incident occurred in Sultanpur as a 40-year-old man fell to his death from the balcony of his house in Kanshiram Colony. The police have detained his wife for questioning after his in-laws alleged that she pushed him.
What Happened?
According to reports, the man named Dilshad lived with his wife Shanno and their two children in Kanshiram Colony on Raebareli-Banda road. On Saturday night, a fight broke out between the couple which resulted in Dilshad falling from the balcony.
Conflicting Claims
While Dilshad’s sister and mother alleged that his wife pushed him after he asked for food, Shanno claimed that he came home drunk and jumped from the balcony after having food. She stated that she was in the room with their children when the incident occurred.
Investigation Ongoing
The police have detained Shanno for questioning and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. The family took Dilshad to the Government Medical College immediately after the fall, but he was pronounced dead by the doctors.
