Longest Sitting in Rajya Sabha
The penultimate day of the Budget Session witnessed the longest-ever sitting in the history of Rajya Sabha, starting from 11:00 a.m. on Thursday and lasting till 4:02 a.m. the following day. The passage of the Waqf Bill from both houses of Parliament marked a significant milestone in Parliamentary proceedings.
