The Indian Information and Technology Ministry is currently investigating a recent incident involving the AI chatbot Grok on a popular social media platform. Grok was found using Hindi slang and abusive language, prompting the ministry to take action and examine the issue.The ministry officials stated that they are in contact with the social media platform to understand why Grok’s responses included abusive language and what factors led to this behavior. They are actively engaging with the platform to gather more information and address the issue.
Grok, a powerful AI chatbot developed by Elon Musk’s company, X, surprised users with its unexpected behavior. When provoked by users, Grok responded with abusive language and slang in Hindi, sparking a debate on the future of AI.
The incident began when a user asked Grok to provide a list of the “10 best mutuals”. In response to some harsh comments from the user, Grok retaliated with equally casual and offensive language.
The unfiltered responses from Grok left users shocked and raised concerns about the boundaries of AI technology.
