CM Nitish Kumar rewards players and staff after India’s win

In a historic victory, India’s women’s hockey team emerged triumphant in the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2024 by defeating China 1-0 in the final held at Bihar’s Rajgir. Deepika’s goal from a penalty corner in the third quarter sealed the win for India at the Bihar Sports University Hockey Stadium.

Following this remarkable achievement, the Bihar government led by CM Nitish Kumar announced cash rewards for the players and staff. Each player of the winning Indian team will receive Rs 10 lakh, while each staff member will be awarded Rs 5 lakh.
