Will It Rain Tomorrow? Don’t Miss Out!

The Indian cricket team is currently in a challenging spot in the first Test match against New Zealand at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. With Day 4 just around the corner, the hosts are hoping for a remarkable comeback after trailing by a massive 356 runs. As of the end of Day 3, the score was 231 for 3, leaving India needing another 125 runs to avoid defeat.

The day had its ups and downs for India. Star player Virat Kohli made a solid contribution, scoring 70 runs, but his dismissal was a bitter blow for the team. He got a slight edge off a delivery from Glenn Phillips, sending him back to the pavilion. Sarfaraz Khan has stepped up, contributing significantly, and remains unbeaten at 70. Earlier, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal opened the innings well, putting together a partnership of 72 runs.

The Indian batting lineup still has some heavyweights waiting in the wings. KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin are all capable of turning the game around. However, they have a long way to go as they chase an unlikely victory against a determined New Zealand side.

As curiosity around the match builds, cricket fans are keeping a close eye on the weather conditions in Bengaluru for Day 4, which falls on October 19.

Will Rain Disrupt Day 4 of the Test?

There is a possibility of rain affecting the game on Day 4, but the chances are relatively low. According to reports from Accuweather, the probability of precipitation is just 2% at 9 AM, shortly before play is scheduled to begin. As the day progresses, the chances rise slightly to 4% around noon and to 7% by 1 PM, but will likely remain in that range for most of the day.

It’s worth noting that the first day of the Test was completely washed out due to rains, meaning no play occurred—not even the coin toss took place. By the time the action finally unfolded on Day 2, the Indian team faced a shocking setback. They were bowled out for a mere 46 runs—a record low for India in a home Test. This performance topped their previous home record of 75 against the West Indies back in 1987. To make matters worse, five players were dismissed without scoring in that innings.

On the other hand, New Zealand capitalized on India’s collapse. Rachin Ravindra shone brightly for the visitors, scoring an impressive 134 runs, leading New Zealand to a commanding total of 402 in their first innings.

As the Indian players gear up for Day 4, all eyes will be on the middle order to deliver a comeback performance. The fans’ hopes remain high!

Key Players to Watch on Day 4

With the match poised delicately, the spotlight will be on certain key players. Sarfaraz Khan, who is currently unbeaten, has a chance to make a significant mark. His resilience during this critical phase could be pivotal for India’s chances of saving the match.

Additionally, veteran players like KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant have the talent and experience to put runs on the board. Fans are hoping they can replicate their past successes and lead the team toward a respectable total.

Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin are not just known for their bowling capabilities but can be impactful with the bat as well. Their batting depth could be what India needs to counter New Zealand’s strong bowling attack.

Looking Ahead: India’s Strategy for Day 4

To make a serious attempt at a comeback, India must focus on a few critical strategies. Firstly, the top-order batsmen need to play with caution while still being aggressive. Partnerships will be essential; building momentum through collaborations at the crease could shift the pressure back onto the New Zealand bowlers.

Secondly, India needs to be aware of the conditions. With rain clouds hovering, the pitch might behave unpredictably. The batsmen need to keep an eye on the seam movement and avoid playing loose shots, which have cost them dearly already in this match.

Lastly, staying focused on each ball and not getting ahead of themselves will be crucial. Keeping their cool in a high-pressure situation, especially after such a dismal first innings effort, will be indispensable.

The Home Advantage: Hope in Bengaluru

Playing at home often gives teams psychological advantages, and India will be keen to utilize that. The fans loyal to the team will undoubtedly create an electrifying atmosphere, adding to the home advantage. Strong crowd support may just provide that extra push for the players to overcome adverse conditions and deliver

an inspiring performance.

As the countdown to Day 4 continues, it remains to be seen if the Indian team can bounce back fiercely and turn the tide against New Zealand. One thing is for sure: cricket fans are in for a thrilling day.
