Renukaswamy’s father has called for a CBI probe and appropriate punishment after the photo went viral. "Such things create a feeling that a CBI probe should be conducted. Looking at the picture, I’m surprised to see him (Darshan) holding a cigarette and drinking tea with others. We doubt whether he is in jail or not. Jail should be a jail and not become a resort. He should be treated like other normal prisoners," he stated.
