The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has raised serious concerns about the violence, injustice, and oppression faced by Hindu and other minority communities in Bangladesh by radical Islamist elements after the recent regime change.
RSS Resolution on Bangladesh
During the meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS), the highest decision-making body of the RSS, a resolution was passed addressing the situation in Bangladesh.
Persecution of Hindus
The RSS highlighted the persecution of Hindus as a violation of human rights, citing incidents of attacks on temples, educational institutions, and barbaric killings.
Existential Crisis
The decline in the Hindu population in Bangladesh from 22% in 1951 to 7.95% today indicates an existential crisis for the community, according to the ABPS.
International Concern
The ABPS warned Bangladesh about the damaging impact of anti-India rhetoric and called for vigilance against external forces trying to destabilize the region.
Call to Action
The ABPS urged the global community, including the United Nations, to take note of the inhumane treatment of Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh and pressurize the government to stop the violence.
